FOOD PANTRY OUTREACH MINITRIES & GARDENS

Greetings from the Pantry!

We have been out in the streets bringing meals each week to homeless people. We have been making hot  sandwiches and chili to try and stave off the frigid Temps. People have been very responsive to having  something hot. This month we served 250 meals to the homeless and distributed 52 boxes to homed  households.

The pantry received donations of hats. gloves and blankets which were distributed to the homeless. We are in  need of rice and canned tomatoes if you want to help!

Thanks to all our volunteers who work so hard to make this all happen!

Gratefully,

Sharon Douglas, Program Coordinator

CALLING ALL SOUTHWEST DETROIT FAITH LEADERS

We have asked around, and to the best of our knowledge, there is no established group of southwest  Detroit faith leaders that gathers regularly to collaborate support to our community. Rev. Bouier would  like to gather a group of faith leaders to develop a structure by which we

can work together to improve the lives of those we serve. To all those who receive this newsletter, feel  free to share this with your faith leaders. If you are interested in participating, please contact Trinity-St.  Mark’s UCC at (313) 841-9140.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO JOIN OUR CHOIR?

We have started a choir. We rehearse after the worship service at 11:30 AM. We sing at least one Sunday a month. All are welcome.
